Our roasting method:

We designed our own roasting technique around one simple element: open flame.

Every batch of Green Man Coffee is a small-batch roasted over an oak fire, with the flame actually touching the beans. This direct-fire method gives us precise control over each batch while allowing the natural character of the coffee to develop through the roasting process.

Our signature Medium Roast is a mélange of light and dark, created naturally by the open flame. The result is a layered roast with the characteristics of both lighter and darker beans, along with a subtle smokiness imparted by the oak fire.

Once roasted, we honey cure our beans with mild honey solution to help seal in the oils, lock in freshness, and preserve the flavor developed during roasting. The honey cure also adds a mild, natural sweetness that makes our coffee uniquely Green Man.
